About MotoNovo

MotoNovo is a fast-growing, innovative financial services business and part of Aldermore Bank. Having grown from 200-800 people in 6 years, we recognise the importance of investing in our people’s development and supporting them to adapt to the fast-changing needs of the business and marketplace.

Project purpose 

We set up a Coaching Partnership as an investment in the development of Regional Managers and Senior Leaders at MotoNovo Finance. Recognising the important role of these leadership communities in achieving MotoNovo’s ambitious target of ‘3 billion in 3 years’, the business wanted to provide tailored support and challenge through Executive Coaching.

 

What we did

Matching based on line manager relationships, personality preferences, and “chemistry conversations”
4 x 90-minute Executive Coaching sessions for each leader
Outcomes agreed via 3-way contracting with line manager
Evaluation against both coaching outcomes & business goals

 

Impact and success measures

  • 100% of coachees rated coaching as an excellent or very good development activity
  • 100% of line managers said coaching was ‘extremely effective’ in achieving the outcomes agreed in 3-way contracting
  • 100% of line managers agreed that coaching contributed to (1) succession planning; (2) leadership development; and (3) career development
  • 84% of coachees are still applying their insights & learning always or frequently
  • 92% are highly likely to recommend coaching to others
